생물학 연구의 정보량이 폭발적으로 증가함에 따라 분자생물학 분야가 크게 진보했으며 게놈시퀀싱을 신속화하기 위해 이용되고 있는 첨단 기술 및 기기도 진화하고 있습니다. 이에 따라 생물학 연구와 임상의학을 한층 더 발전시키는 것도 가능해졌으며, 유전성 질환 및 후천성 질환, 암 등에 직접 관련된 유전자 의 조사 및 분석을 통해 치료법을 발견하는 것도 가능해졌습니다. 또한 컴퓨터 기반 툴 및 방법을 사용하면 질병의 분자적인 기반을 발견할 수 있으며, 질병 의 원인이 되는 유전자를 표적으로 한 의약품도 설계할 수 있습니다.

질병 및 암치료의 목적으로 제작되는 정보의 양이 계속 증가하는 가운데 방대한 데이터를 유익한 생물학적 지식으로 바꿀 수 있는 컴퓨터 기반 스토리지 시 스템 및 처리 시스템, 유통 시스템의 필요성이 커지고 있습니다. 이 학회에서는 업계 및 정부기관, 의료기관의 전문가가 한자리에 모여 핵산 배열과 단백질 배열에 관한 정보 및 구조 정보의 주석(annotation) 및 보존, 분석, 검색에 관한 설득력 있는 논의를 펼치고 베스트 프랙티스를 소개합니다. 또한 콘텐츠 및 분석 소프트웨어, 서비스, IT 인프라 등에 관한 강연 및 패널 디스커션도 예정되어 있습니다.

All proposals are subject to review by the Scientific Advisory Committee to ensure the highest quality of the conference program. Please note that due to limited speaking slots, preference is given to pharmaceutical and biotech companies, regulators and those from academia. Additionally, vendors/consultants who provide products and services to these biopharmaceutical companies are offered opportunities for podium presentation slots based on a variety of Corporate Sponsorships.
