Abstract
The Research Service gives an overview of the European Union Emissions Trading
Scheme (EU ETS) and lessons learnt during Phase I. It also studies the EU ETS
execution of the first year of the Phase II and provides a price forecasts for
the period of 2009-2010 under tightened economic conditions. The base year of
this Research Service is 2008.
