This report is the twentieth edition of the petroleum coke market research in Russia and the CIS.

The purpose of the study is to analyze the petroleum coke market in the CIS.

The object of the study is petroleum coke (green and calcined).

The presented work is a desk study . The UN databases (UNdata), the Statistical Committees of the CIS countries (including Rosstat, the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine, the Statistics Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, etc.), the customs statistics of the Russian Federation and Ukraine, the official statistics of rail transport of the Russian Federation were used as sources of information ; materials of the branch and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, Internet sites of manufacturing enterprises and consumers of petroleum coke, as well as the INFOMINE database.

In addition, some data were confirmed and refined by telephone interviews of specialists of the enterprises considered in this report.

All this allowed the experts to reveal the picture of the petroleum coke market in the CIS and the prospects for its development.

Chronological framework of the study: 1996-2017 and 1 half of 2018; forecast for the period 2018-2025.

Geography of the study : Russian Federation - comprehensive detailed market analysis; Ukraine, the Republic of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and other CIS countries - a general retrospective analysis of the market.

The report consists of 6 parts, contains 186 pages, including 45 figures, 86 tables and 2 annexes.

The first chapter of the report contains information on the raw materials necessary for the production of petroleum coke, its characteristics. Also in this chapter, the technology of production of coke is considered in detail, the qualitative indicators of the received products are given.

The second chapter is devoted to the production of petroleum coke (green and calcined) in the CIS countries. The section provides statistical and estimated data on the volumes of coke production in Russia and CIS countries. All enterprises producing petroleum coke in Russia and the CIS, the current situation at these plants and prospects for development are described in detail.

The third chapter provides data on foreign trade operations with petroleum coke in Russia and the CIS.

The fourth chapter provides information on the prices of producers in the Russian market. In addition, data on changes in export-import prices for products in Russia and Ukraine were analyzed. And also in this chapter the forecast of prices for the period till 2025 is given.

In the fifth chapter , the consumption of petroleum coke is considered. The balance of production and consumption of these products in the Russian Federation and Ukraine is given, the branch structure of coke consumption in the Russian Federation is given, the main consumers of the Russian Federation and the CIS are presented, their current condition and development prospects are analyzed.

The sixth chapter provides a forecast for the development of the Russian petroleum coke market for the period up to 2025.

The annexes give addresses and contact information of enterprises that produce and consume petroleum coke in the CIS countries.

The target audience of the study:

  • participants of the petroleum coke market - producers, consumers, traders;
  • potential investors.
