Abstract

The report is devoted to investigation of current standing of rail car tanks market in CIS countries and forecast of its development. The report includes 5 Sections, 55 Pages, including 13 Figure, 24 Tables and 2 Appendices. The report is a desk study. As information sources, data of Federal Service of State Statistics (Rosstat), Federal Customs Service of Russia (FCS), Ukrainian State Customs and Statistic Committees, the sector and regional press, annual and quarterly repots of the companies involved, as well as web-sites of enterprise-producers and consumers of rail car tanks, own InfoMine database.

The first Section of the report presents classification and characteristics of car tanks, manufactured at CIS enterprises.

The second Section of the report is devoted to analysis of the production statistics for 2000 to 2007, including data on production of car tanks in Russia and Ukraine and description of current standing of the main producers of car tanks.

The third Section of the report is devoted to analysis of foreign trade in the car tanks in Russia and Ukraine in 2000-2007

The fourth Section of the report analyses consumption of car tanks in Russia, Ukraine, as well as in Kazakhstan.

The Section also presents data on length of railways in Russia, describes the main consumers of car tanks in Russia: JSC «RZhD» and private transport companies. Besides, data on transportation of the main kinds of freight, being transported in car tanks, are given.

The final, fifth Section of the report presents forecast of development of the main end-use of car tanks - oil-gas sector, as well as forecast of changing fleet of car tanks in Russia up to 2010

Appendix 1 presents performance data of rail car tanks, and Appendix 2 presents contact information on the main of company-producers of car tanks.
