The solar power generation market has grown rapidly in the last five years, driven by a combination of factors including environmental concerns, rising oil prices, technology developments and government legislation.

As a result of these developments, the photovoltaic (solar) inverter market has grown sharply, and the nature of the market has changed substantially.

This study provides the only detailed and comprehensive analysis of the global PV inverter market. It also provides assessment from the point of view of power semiconductor vendors by providing forecasts by production and design location as well as forecasts for power discretes and power modules.

The report provides market sizes and forecasts for different types of PV inverter within each of the 14 countries/regions analysed.
