Insights in this document were gathered during reference interviews as part of the 2024 IDC MarketScape evaluation of enterprise planning, budgeting, and forecasting application vendors. While vendors vary in terms of their capabilities and strengths as highlighted in the market evaluation, there were common themes and advice provided by reference customers on how they were able to ensure successful implementation and adoption of these solutions."Midmarket organizations are at different stages of adoption when it comes to enterprise planning, budgeting, and forecasting solutions. Some are deploying the solutions for the first time, while others are in the process of upgrading and switching providers. Many have just evaluated the use of AI within these solutions. The underlying factors that allowed for successful adoption remains user experience, support, and automation of data preparation," said Megha Kumar, vice president, Analytics and AI Research at IDC.
