This IDC PeerScape draws on in-depth interviews with European enterprises that have deployed 5G mobile private networks to identify the practical lessons that peers can apply when scaling beyond pilots. The findings highlight three areas that determine success: ensuring device readiness to avoid underutilized networks, striking the right balance between internal control and outsourcing across the MPN life cycle, and embedding observability to maintain visibility and accountability at scale. By addressing these dimensions early, organizations can accelerate time-to-value, improve service reliability, and reduce the risk of misaligned investments as private 5G adoption scales."MPNs don't arrive perfect; they evolve. Companies must align ambition with what devices, spectrum, in-house skills, and partners can support today; accept mistakes; and set course corrections.
