Pressure Indicating Film can also be called as Pressure Sensitive Paper. It is a paper/film coated with an acid developer on the front and microcapsules containing a colorless cryptic dye on the back. When the paper is overlapped, the microcapsules are ruptured due to mechanical pressure, and the colorless cryptic dye overflows and then develops color when exposed to acid, then forming an image.
