The DRAM industry dynamics and the server workload changes are aggregated, analyzed, and applied to this long-term DIMM forecast in terms of units and DRAM content per DIMM."Sudden demand disruption is suppressing server DIMM market. Low growth and low-density DIMM preference will continue in the short term. But 24Gb-based DIMM introduction, growing DDR5 penetration, and the CXL introduction will lead certain growth in the long term as the economy recovers," says Soo-Kyoum Kim, associate vice president, IDC's Semiconductor research.
