This IDC Market Share report explores the rankings of the top 10 vendors in the outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) segment, and provides insights into the landscape of this striving and yet vital market.According to Galen Zeng, senior research manager at IDC, "In the semiconductor supply chain, the OSAT industry is indispensable in the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem to ensure the quality and performance of chips. Although its performance was relatively conservative under the influence of the overall inventory adjustment in the industry chain in 1H23, chip assembly and test manufacturing (ATM) has a long-term demand in the market. With the gradual destocking in the supply chain in 2H23, demand will pick up for the ATM of chips used for smartphones, AI, and high-performance computing (HPC). Therefore, the performance in 2H23 is projected to be better than that in the first half."
