This IDC Market Perspective provides a preliminary unit shipment range for worldwide hard disk drive (HDD) units by HDD drive class and estimated supplier market share for 2Q24."HDD demand continues to strengthen and shipments continue to be limited by supply, especially in the cloud service provider market," said Ed Burns, research director, Worldwide Hard Disk Drives at IDC. "Industry supply capabilities should continue to improve gradually over the course of 2024."
