This IDC study presents an outlook for the server DRAM DIMM market for the 2025-2029 period. The DRAM industry dynamics and the server workload changes are aggregated, analyzed, and applied to this long-term DIMM forecast in terms of units and DRAM content per DIMM."AI demand will drive server DIMM growth over the forecast period. As AI inferencing service increases, mid/low-density DIMM will thrive. 32Gb-based 128GB DIMM demand and Compute Express Link (CXL) introduction will lead high single-digit growth in the long term," says Soo Kyoum Kim, associate vice president, IDC's Semiconductor research.
